Our 2011 went over so well we are planning our 2012 drivers meeting.

IMPACT we will be paying for the costs of the meeting room rental.

This meeting is to discuss 2012 events and rules.

THIS MEETING IS FOR YOU THE DRIVERS!! Pit persons are also welcome.

We are the only promoter who holds a meeting of this kind that is open to ALL drivers.

Last year we gave away over 25 door prizes. Any businesses or drivers that are interested in donating door prizes again please inbox me.

The meeting will be in the same location as last year.

FALL BRAWL RE-CAP

Well……what a ride!

Our crew sat a talked after BRAWL 2010 and wondered how we could EVER top last years event. We couldn’t believe we had 118 entries in one day with it being our first event of that kind.
…
In the past few weeks leading up to BRAWL 2011 we wondered if the drivers would return this year or did we just have luck on our side last year regarding the car count.

We put a lot of time, thought and money out for this event. We don’t do it to make money. We do it for the drivers and our awesome demolition derby fans!

When we got rolling that morning and we had over 50 cars on the grounds by 9AM I knew we were going to beat last years numbers….the only question was….by how much?

I didn’t leave the inspection area from 8:30 until around 1:00 so I didn’t realize that we had truck/trailers parked in 4 different parking area’s. When Yvette came to me in the inspection area to let me know we had 181 cars at that point I had to sit down…..WOW!!!!

In the end after cars being re-register back into other heats the official entry for the 2011 IMPACT FALL BRAWL was 193!!!!!

I have been a driver in this sport going on 22 years. My first derby was in Lindsay, my home town is Lindsay and most my staff were born raised and still live in the area. We cant express how honored we are to have the support of so many drivers from all points of Ontario for this event. We together have put this event on the map as the largest one day demolition derby in Canadian history and we thank you the drivers for being a part of it and for your loyal support!

So many people to thank……

The drivers and their families. You guys and gals drove HARD all day long. Cars on their roofs….cars destroyed with one long track hits all day long! And when needed out came the pink flags just to remind drivers we don’t like sandbagging…..its been proved the pink flag works and drivers hit harder! Yvette and I both drive in derbies so we understand the time and cost it does take to put a car on the track. Thank you!

The fans that packed the grounds on Sat…..many of them showing up at 9:00 and still sitting there at 8:00 that night. Thank you!

All of our great sponsors…..without them the show would not happen! Thank you!

To the special people in this sport who built auction cars to help support people who need it. Thank you!

To the drivers who put money out of their own pocket to support this show with mad dog awards and the longest tow award. Thank you!

My staff……AWESOME job!! We have the best crew in the business! Pit area ran smooth, sign in was fast, tech was simply AWESOME and they proved on the blocks they are the best in the business, Thank you guys!!!

A special thanks to one of my best buddies….Johnny Fever our announcer. Sometimes not getting the recognition he deserves…..normally tucked away in the corner announcing….heard but often never seen….truly the best announcer we could ever have. Thank you!

The back bone behind the entire IMPACT organization…..my wife Yvette. We have been together for many years…..when we met you had hardly seen a demo before, now your a driver, promoter and one of the biggest fans of this sport. Spending countless hours preparing for each event looking after drivers, pit people and handling fairs yourself……you are amazing being my partner running this company and none of it would happen without you! Thank you!

I hope I didn’t miss anyone…..I love this sport…..I love travelling promoting events and I respect the drivers who keep this sport going every year! THANK YOU!!

We are still deciding which direction the BRAWL is headed regarding time of year. We have the thought “if its not broke why try and fix it”. This event will turn into a 2 day event. We feel that it needs to but we need the ongoing support of the drivers and fans to keep it a success.
